i agree with the guy with the funny name who posted this topic. we DO need our pho any damn time we please. after a 3am session of love making, i would love to send my woman out to get me a bowl of pho. but what i really would love is for those coffee shops girls to work at other places too. what if i want to see them but i dont want to go to a coffee shop? maybe mr webmaster should make a website and post up pictures of those young ladies or webcam or something...webmaster please?

We need Vietnamese revolutionaries.

We need Vietnamese revolutionaries. We need Vietnamese young people to start thinking about their community and improving themselves. I see too many young men and women caught up in money and how they look to others. Most cannot even comprehend the racism and poverty that afflicts not only our people (visit the Tenderloin in San Francisco some time), but people of color!

I hate most Vietnamese girls in San Jose. You can pick them out in a crowd. They're all caught up in this superficial shit and trying to conform to the American standard of beauty, dyeing their hair blonde, getting big boobs, trying to make their eyes bigger, and buying expensive purses to look rich and themselves feel like they're important. And that's all they rely on, their looks. But once that's gone, what is left?

Actually, this is symptomatic of most females, they feel and are constantly told that the only thing of value to them is their looks. We all need to understand that we are more than this and work towards a life of substance, instead of money and our outward appearance.

Please note: I AM NOT HATING. I am a Vietnamese female and I'm not saying all Vietnamese girls are like this, its just typical.

Ok I'm a hater and I'm going to agree with dottie. So let me ask you guys how would you describe a typical Vietnamese person? For all I know, we need to do something besides going to coffee shops, going quan ngau, clubbing, and "clicking it." You know what I mean, you got to be in a click to hang. What happen to the revolutionist. Where are your Vietnamese rock bands, your Vietnamese skaters, etc. Hey I got to say I love my spikes and my Hondas, but please if I ever see a Vietnamese person driving a lowrider, I'm going to give that person a handshake cuz it takes balls or as we call it revolutionists. As for Dotties comments on the ladies, it's for reals. Whats up with all these Vietnamese girls trying to fit in by dying their hair blonde and wearing freaking 300 dollar jeans. Who the hell looks at 300 dollar jeans. Guys don't notice them, only girls will recognize them. since everyone seems to be complaining and attacking each other about how everyone else is "posing" and "competing" with each other, i am going to set a more positive tone. i want to acknowledge the fact that i am happy and proud with the vietnamese community because we tend to spend and keep our money within our own community. for instance, most vietnamese people tend to do business with vietnamese doctors, dentists, real estate agents, cell phone dealers, etc...that way we are spreading the wealth among our own people. so keep it up and lets continue to prosper together!

What we really need like you said is to be positive. If you notice most of these people on the forums are pretty judgemental. Haven't you ever go into a pho restaurant and over hears someone talking about the way you dress and judge you. If you ask me we need to stop judging and let people be.

how about fixing the ratio between guys and girls? Instead of 50 guys to 1 girl, make it more fair like 10 to 1.

Dukmahsik, you do have a point. I too have notices that there are alot of pickles out there. What we need is start diversifying out group and I also believe that women plays a big role too. There are plenty of women out there and we need to see more and more even ratios. I just hate hearing women complain that there are too many men in the club or they got hit on by 10 guys. If they were smart they would bring 10 hot girls with them so we men will leave them alone.
